Una speranza di cui abbiamo bisogno
Condividiamo e rilanciamo il comunicato rilasciato dal Distretto Economia Solidale Altro Tirreno rispetto ai gravissimi fatti avvenuti il 23 febbraio a Pisa (e, contemporaneamente, a Firenze e Catania), condannando l’operato della Polizia e della Questura, e soprattutto esprimendo solidarietà allə studentə scesə pacificamente in piazza per scioperare in protesta contro il genocidio in corso in Palestina.
Allo stesso tempo, la mobilitazione spontanea di ieri nel tardo pomeriggio è la chiara dimostrazione che una parte sempre più consistente del Paese non si lascia intimidire di fronte alla repressione del dissenso, e che non si arrende ad esprimere il proprio sostegno verso il popolo palestinese. Una speranza di cui abbiamo bisogno e di cui, come Chicco di Senape, ci facciamo promotori.

Le immagini delle cariche della polizia nei confronti di un gruppo di studenti medi in corteo per protestare contro la condizione di vita disumana del popolo palestinese nella striscia di Gaza ci feriscono nel profondo dell’animo. Al contrario di quanto si sostiene con una versione preconcetta che non tiene conto dei fatti, risulta chiaro che i ragazzi, in numero relativamente contenuto e senza nascondersi all’identificazione, cercavano l’accesso a piazza dei Cavalieri per proseguire una manifestazione di solidarietà e che hanno subito una serie di violenze ingiustificabili.
Ci preoccupa anche il fatto che gli stessi episodi, pur in circostanze diverse, siano avvenuti in altre città.
Chiediamo il RISPETTO DEL DIRITTO ALLA MANIFESTAZIONE DEL PROPRIO PENSIERO nelle forme che la nostra democrazia consente di esercitare e un COMPORTAMENTO ADEGUATO DA PARTE DI CHI DEVE TUTELARE L’ORDINE PUBBLICO. E’ evidente che qualunque posizione o decisione che vada in direzione opposta si qualifica come un attacco alla democrazia nel nostro Paese e va non solo fermamente condannata ma anche perseguita legalmente.
